MasteryPrep Sponsors 2022 Ohio TRIO Student Leadership Conference

MasteryPrep was a proud sponsor of the 39th annual Ohio TRIO Student Leadership Conference, held April 28-30, 2022, at the Kalahari Resort & Conference Center in Sandusky, Ohio. 

With a theme of “Mission I’m-Possible: Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept It … Is You”, the 2022 event was the first in-person conference for Ohio TRIO since the pandemic and had an impressive attendance of 270 Ohio TRIO students. 

Ohio TRIO invites students from across the state to participate in an immersive experience that provides meaningful workshops and captivating speakers, empowering students to self-reflect on leadership abilities, develop connections with their peers, and realize their full potential. The development of leadership skills among TRIO students is not only a critical aspect in preparing TRIO students for college success and future careers, but also assures the survival of TRIO Programs by equipping future leaders in becoming strong advocates for TRIO on a state and national basis 

MasteryPrep has had a longstanding partnership with TRIO programs nationwide to help first-generation, income-eligible college-bound students successfully graduate high school and transition to college by providing academic year and summer programming and support services. TRIO programs are federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, aiding low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities, to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to postbaccalaureate programs.
