Who scores higher on the ACT? Male or female? Check out this infographic to learn more about gender score differences on the ACT.

When you fill out the ACT, you provide general demographic details including your age, race, and gender. ACT®, Inc. compiles this information and provides the public with detailed reports breaking down the scores in each section, based on gender and race/ethnicity.

What you may find fascinating to learn is that there is a trend in section-specific scores that is correlated to the sex of the test-taker. Based off the data from the Graduating Class of 2016 Profile report (which actually includes the graduating class of 2013 up to the graduating class of 2016), we are able to break out the scores by section and gender from students taking the ACT as sophomores, juniors, and seniors during this time period. What results is pretty fascinating.

Have a look at this fun infographic that helps visualize the differences in male and female scoring on English, Math, Reading, and Science. The “winner” of the composite score may surprise you.
