Online Course for the Enhanced ACT®

Give students a contextual course of study through engaging microvideos

Engaging microvideos simulate a conversation rather than a lecture to keep students tuned as they never go more than 60 seconds without taking action. In just minutes, students can improve their mastery of a non-negotiable skill. Adaptive conversation branches mean that students get their questions answered just like they would if working with a live tutor.

How It Works:

Not every student has access to the help they need to improve their scores. Our online course change that.

With the online course for the ACT®, students will engage with a better way to learn online—by doing. Just like having a tutor over their shoulder, the online course for the ACT keeps students constantly engaged and coaches them through the key college readiness skills and strategies needed to succeed on test day.

The Next Generation of Online Learning:

This digital course for the ACT redefines how students learn online. Our proprietary authoring system incorporates the latest research developments in online learning to ensure student engagement and retention.

Diagnostics

The Online Course for the ACT will include two short, adaptive diagnostic assessments for each subject, designed to predict a student’s ACT score and provide a comprehensive skill inventory aligned to ACT standards. Every question is tagged to a specific ACT standard and rigor level.

Microvideos

The adaptive course delivers engaging, conversational to 30-second video clips that stimulate a conversation rather than a lecture and keep students engaged. The average video length is only 10 seconds, which helps keep students from losing focus.

Adaptive Branching

No two students experience a course the same way. If a student needs extra support to master a skill, the lesson will direct that student down a separate learning path that offers additional guidance to help them grasp the concept. After that, they can pick up back where they left off! Meanwhile, students who continue to show mastery of the skill can quickly continue on to more challenging topics.

Learn by Doing

Our course isn’t a wall of text or a river of passive video streams. Students never go a minute without taking part in a wide range of activities that vary screen to screen.

Hints and Feedback

Students disengage when a question is too difficult. Our highly tailored hints and answer feedback gently prompt students toward the right direction, like a tutor over their shoulder, to keep them on track and help them avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

Equitable Access

Students can access an online course on any major browser, on any device, with no downloads required.
